WATER

A significant reduction in water consumption of your processes has rightfully become something to shout about. Apart from the obvious impact on profit margin due to lower costs for import, treatment and disposal, there are the benefits of requiring smaller equipment, reduced losses, and – not to forget – a positive impact on your regional environment, your relationships with local authorities, and your public image.

Full System Survey

In most cases, a survey of your entire water system is the best place to start. Many operating companies do not collect enough reliable data, or struggle to make sense of it. Maintenance of (waste)water meters and treatment units may have been low on the priority list, whilst accounting and reporting practices for water have often fallen behind.

In our "all angles" approach, we systematically survey your water-related facilities, your data availability and your management practices, to identify potential for improvement and savings. We construct a water balance at one or more levels of detail and determine the scope for additional metering. As a result, you'll better understand your water system with its interdependencies, degrees of freedom, data gaps, and opportunities.

Dashboard Development

As part of our modelling work for a survey, or as a separate service, we can develop socalled "dashboards" to help you monitor key data and derived information. See here, for more information.

Advanced Re-use Study  - WaterPinch Analysis

If you are concerned about your water consumption – and especially if your water network suffers from “spaghetti syndrome” – then you should consider us for a specialist analysis. As expert users of the WaterTracker™ and WaterPinch™ software (from KBC Advanced Technologies), we can help you with such studies, or carry them out for you.

Combining WaterPinch analysis with a healthy dose of real-life experience will contribute significantly to best-practice process design and retrofit improvements. By matching utility supplies with demands in the most cost-effective and practical manner, costly imports and wastage of water are minimised.
